Dr. Bob Nyre
Dr Bob Nyre has been in practice in Minot since 1981. Dr Nyre graduated from the University of North Dakota and Summa Cum Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He is a past-president of the North Dakota Optometric Association and the North Central Regional Conference. Currently he is the 2010 President Elect of the North Dakota Optometric Association and was designated the NDOA Optometrist of the Year for 2008. Dr Bob Nyre is a retired member of the North Dakota Army National Guard where he served as the Commander of the Medical Department and held the rank of Colonel. He is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served as the Chief of Optometry at the Balad Air Force Base from Nov of 2006 until April of 2007. He retired from the Army with 30 years of commissioned service in September of 2007. Dr Nyre is married to Gloria Nyre and they have two children. Laura works for the University of Minnesota as a student activites advisor. Jon is also living in Minneapolis and is working in the computer based testing area of Pearson Vue. Dr Nyre’s optometric practice is a general practice including all aspects of optometric care. He has a special interest in eye health and contact lens care.

Sherry Austin
Sherry Austin has been with Dr Nyre’s office for twenty three years. She has worked as frame stylist, optometric technician, and the office receptionist. Patients familiar with the office appreciate her friendly attitude and non stop greetings. Sherry is very familiar with phone triage and brings a great deal of experience to her problem solving phone skills. Call Sherry with your questions about all aspects of your care in our office.

Bob Klein
Bob Klein is our office optician. Bob came to us twenty four years ago with experience in the agriculture and construction fields. For the last twenty years he has worked exclusively in the optical field and has amassed a great deal of valuable experience. Problem solving is his most valuable skill in the office. Bob’s second most valuable skill is avoiding problems with his skill in optical dispensing. Bob assists Dr Bob Nyre with his trial framing of all prescriptions to insure the accuracy and functionality of your new prescription. Bob has experience with all types of ophthalmic lenses and lens treatments. Ask Bob about the newest in scratch coatings and progressive lenses.

Pam Klostermann
Pam Klostermann functions as both the office manager, insurance expert, and special projects person. Pam has over twenty five years of experience at our clinic and can be counted on to be the expert in the insurance field. Pam enjoys travel and spending time with her grandchildren.

Robin Dalen
Robin Dalen joined our office in March of 2002. Robin brought experience in the ophthalmic field from her experience working at Trinity Regional Eyecare. Robin works in the areas of optometric technician and contact lens technician. Her skills include contact lens dispensing , auto refraction, topography, patient education, health screening, Optos Imaging and operation of the Heidelberg Retinal Tomograph.

Kim Pederson
Kim Pederson is our newest member of the ophthalmic field. Kim joined the clinic in March of 2002 and has rapidly learned the optometric technician field. In addition Kim works with our contact lens dispensing and joins Robin in the operation of our wide array of high technology ophthalmic equipment. One of Kim's special areas of emphasis is her ability to work with our senior population. A former provider of senior residency, she brings an empathy to our senior population.
